Many riders say that suspensions are made to compress.  While that is true, why compress them when you don’t have to?  I cant count the number of times we left the track after a long day or weekend and on the drive home our forks started leaking because dirt got in the seals.  It’s easy to clean the seals but still a pain because I never knew how much oil I lost.  Cleaning the bike before you leave the track is another way to insure this doesn’t happen but when you are tired (and old) you just want to get home.
